Nov. 7 () –
The authorities of the Chernigov region, in the north of Ukraine and bordering Russia and Belarus, have urged residents of neighboring areas to move to other points further inside the Ukrainian territory.
The governor of Chernígov, Viacheslav Chaus, has ordered to reinforce the transfer operations of those “potentially vulnerable” border territories, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
In this sense, Chaus has highlighted that the authorities already have practical experience in this regard after having ordered the evacuation of the raion (a smaller territorial entity) of Novgorod-Siverski.
Chernigov was one of the first Ukrainian regions to fall to Russia during the war. However, a few weeks later, the country’s authorities reported the liberation of the territory.
After this, Russia has not ceased in its efforts to take over this territory, which was said from kyiv that it had been destroyed by 70 percent, and has continued to launch constant attacks.
