ChatGPT Plus makes turbo mode, which offers faster responses, the default

16 Feb. (Portaltic/EP) –

ChatGPT has updated the modes of use of its Plus version, defaulting to what was previously known as Turbo, which offered faster responses, which has led users to perceive a reduction in speed at first.

This ‘chatbot’ is a tool for Artificial Intelligence (AI) conversationalist capable of chatting with users, answering questions, and challenging incorrect assumptions. The way he answers is in a development format and he is able to offer natural responses, as well as generate and link ideas.

The company has recently introduced a payment option, ChatGPT Plus, which has advantages such as faster response speed and priority access to new features of the service. In addition, it is available even when the demand for the ‘chatbot’ is high.

Until now, the speed of this AI’s responses could be increased with the Turbo option, but it offered less precise responses in return. Based on this, the format standard or Default it required a little more processing time to generate its responses, so it could provide longer, more detailed responses.

Some users of Reddit have noticed a change in the modes available in the subscription version, where they now appear Default and Legacy modes. The company, for its part, has confirmed that this change is due to some tests it is implementing among ChatGPT Plus users.

In an update posted on their website has noted that it has defaulted Plus users to a faster version of ChatGPT, “formerly known as Turbo,” and that it will keep the old option “for a while.”

This suggests that the old fast version, Turbo, will now be presented as Default, and will be the default for all users, while the standard option will adopt the name of Legacy. It is precisely this change that has made ChatGPT Plus users notice a reduction in the speed of what used to be Turbo, assimilating it to that of the more standard version.
