The number of ChatGPT users, OpenAI, in South Korea has increased 30 percent last month, surpassing one million for the first time. Last month, South Korean citizens used ChatGPT for a total of 739,000 hours, an increase of 55.8 percent from the 474,000 hours recorded in April. In May, new downloads of the ChatGPT app soared 47.9 percent month-on-month to 404,000.
The app, available for iOS and Android since last year, continues to attract a diverse user base.
