Chamber of Deputies of Mexico reports the death of Ifigenia Martínez y Hernández

( Spanish) – The Chamber of Deputies of Mexico reported this Sunday through a statement the death of Ifigenia Martínez y Hernández, president of the Board of Directors of this Chamber, without specifying the cause of the death of the deputy of the Morena party.

Martínez y Hernández, 94, was the one who presented the presidential sash to Claudia Sheinbaum on October 1st.

During her political career, Martínez y Hernández was a former ambassador and representative of Mexico to the United Nations in New York.
