Manufacturers are adding to the options SSD with PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0. this time CFD Gambling offers an SSD with this connectivity capable of reach 10 Gbps in sequential read. So that temperature is not a problem, CFD too added a large heatsink which will keep this SSD cool for maximum performance even under heavy workloads.
This new SSD from CFD Gaming PG5NFZ is built with a controller Philson PS5026-E26 and with memory Micron 3D TLC NAND and will be available in different sizes of 1, 2 and 4TB. Thanks to this combination of components it is capable of reaching up to 10Gbps sequential reading and 9.5Gbps sequential write on 2 and 4TB models and 9.5Gbps and 8.5Gbps read/write on 1TB. Speeds that we have already seen in other SSDs with PCIe 5.0 and even surpassed by some.
As we have commented, includes a bulky heat sink with a small fan at the top which will help expel hot air. The manufacturer comments that in this model he has replaced the thermal pads by thermal paste, technique that will improve the temperature. At the moment, the version with 2 TB it will come next novemberbut it is not known when the other versions will be available.
