Investors in Mexico have taken refuge in government debt instruments such as Cetes to face inflation that is still far from the central bank’s target.
What are the yields of the Cetes?
Despite the reductions in yields this week, Cetes remain a low-risk investment strategy to face inflation.
This is a safer strategy because the instruments are backed by the government.
This week the 28-day Cetes offer yields of 11.15%; at three months, the yields are 11.27% while the yields of the Cetes at half a year are 11.39%.
At one year, the Cetes give yields of 11.31%.
Remember that to invest in Cetes you can do it through your bank or on the CetesDirecto platform from 100 pesos.
