Luis Miguel finished his tour in Spainwhere he had successful performances in Madrid, Barcelona and Marbella. It was in this last part where the Mexican singer met up with a friend he hadn’t seen for a long time.

This is how Carlos Vives met Luis Miguel
During the chat, the vallenato singer recalled the first time he met Luis Miguel.
“You know that he was with me at the festival in Marbella, so I sang one night and the next night Luis Miguel sang, so he invited me,” Vives said. “I went to see him and we talked, and we hadn’t talked since he went on the Romance tour, when he came to Bogotá I was the opening act.”
This tour that Luis Miguel made arrived in Colombia during June 1992.and the singer from Santa Marta remembers that occasion.
“It was a great concert at El Campín and for me it was a great opportunity. because it was the first time I sang for such a large audience.
“Luis Miguel had brought the audience and it went very well. And that’s when I met Luis Miguel, we hadn’t seen each other again and since he knew I was in Marbella he invited me, so I went to see his concert.
“And seeing him and being able to talk to him and suddenly no, so many myths and so many things around, but seeing him on stage, how he enjoyed it, how he lived it, how he sang, I say that there is a very nice message and I am glad to have seen him like that, and that he remembered me,” Vives concluded.
