As part of the Pokémon Day 2023 celebrations, The Pokémon Company announced a host of events and news for its current games, including Pokémon Scarlet & Violetin which a new event is underway that allows players to catch 2 new Paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves (Rippling Water and Ferroverdor in Spanish, respectively).
However, there is a bug that is preventing players from finding them in special Teraids, but instead appearing Eggs that appear to be cursed. We say this because it is not only possible to catch them, but they act as these creatures, but without being.
In the games of the series, Eggs can never enter a Pokéball, but thanks to this bug, players who have the previous version of the game (v1.1.0) can catch it since it considers them as if they were Pokémon, since there is no information about those species in the code released by The Pokémon Company through the event.
The bad news is that the player who captures the Egg will not be able to make it evolve, but will remain in that state forever and worst of all, they will not be able to capture another unit, since the Egg has the label of those Pokémon, so the game considers it as if it already had a specimen (it is limited to 1 capture of each species per game).

How to fix Walking Wake Eggs and Iron Leaves error in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
Fortunately, The Pokémon Company has already recognized the error. While it’s not clear what exactly causes an Egg to spawn instead of Walking Wake or Iron Leaves, he suggests all players download the v1.2.0 patch “before participating in the Teraid event” so the bug won’t go away. affect them and they are left without the opportunity to catch these 2 legendary beasts.

Apparently, this bug only affects players who don’t have the most recent version of the game and participate in a Teraid of these Pokémon, so we recommend that you update the title before downloading the news from the Poképortal and participating in these events, which will be Available until next March 12.
If you’re affected by this bug, you’ll unfortunately have to wait for a fix from The Pokémon Company that might turn the Eggs back into Pokémon (updating the game after catching the Eggs doesn’t currently fix this). The company merely mentioned that it is already working on a fix; It is unknown when it will be ready.
