Ciencia en Chile, a national communication medium and science content agency, invites researchers for the second year to be part of the publications to bring the science developed in the country closer to different parts of the territory. Next, 3 calls are opened:
Resume: In an effort to link art, science and scientific communication, CienciaenChile invites researchers to be part of the first digital and printed publication that discloses research results and/or scientifically based curious facts through the development of color illustrations with dry watercolor technique. Each illustration will have a text of a maximum of 100 words, which will be presented in English and Spanish. In addition, the researchers will receive the illustration in a PNG file to be used freely and 10 printed books for each participant.
The texts:
-Texts must have a maximum length of 100 words. Each text will be translated by professional translators.
-The information in the texts presented may be the result of ongoing or completed scientific research; interesting information and/or curious facts.
-You can include bibliographical references that give scientific support to the information
-Illustrations from the book will be selected to form the first traveling exhibition of scientific illustrations that will tour educational establishments, museums, universities and other spaces to be defined.

The illustrations will be in charge of Catherine Manzi, who is a biologist, Mg. in Genetics and Naturalist Illustrator.
Once they register in the form and confirm their participation in the book, the illustration process will take place in order of registration. The illustrator will receive the scientific text and optionally complementary graphic material; An online meeting will be coordinated to review specific concepts and a draft proposal as the only instance to provide observations and/or corrections by the participating researcher; and finally the digitized illustration is shown. This illustration is released in conjunction with the book release.

Programming
-The estimated development time of the project is 12 months
-During November 2022, registration to participate in the book will open and notice will be given when the 100 participants meet
-The illustrations and texts will be developed in order of confirmation with each researcher and it is expected to have texts and illustrations ready by September 2023 and the launch in December 2023.
-The times can be extended or decreased, in any case, it will be in order to obtain a better product and you will be communicating properly

-Invoice is issued for the participation and in the gloss you can indicate the detail of the project that finances to be rendered later
