Call of Duty: Black Ops, Doom: The Dark Ages and Gears of War: E-Day, have made up some of the new features of the annual video game event Xbox Games Showcase 2024in which Microsoft has shared a wide variety of new titles, as well as video game trailers expected for this year.

Xbox announced this Sunday the video games that will arrive on its platforms in the coming months, as well as those that are in development both by its brand (Xbox Game Studios), and by Activision, Blizzard and Bethesda, among others.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has opened the annual Xbox event gala led by the head of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer. Thus, the new installment of the first-person shooter and war-style video game will arrive on October 25 of this year for Xbox and PC consoles. In addition, it will be available from launch day with the Game Pass subscription.

Following this line, Bethesda has presented together with iD Software one of the new features of the event. It is the new Doom: The Dark Ages, a new installment of the saga that maintains the identity of the previous titles, but will take place in the Middle Ages. Thus, it will arrive in 2025 for the Xbox series xys consoles, as well as for PC. However, as Doom has pointed out since his X account (former Twitter)the new installment will also be available on Play Station 5.

Additionally, Bethesda has also announced Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, the first expansion of the action RPG title that will arrive on October 8 of this year.

Continuing with the firsts, State of Decay 3 from Undead Labs has shared new images at the presentation of Xbox, an open-world survival and shooting game in which users must fight zombies. Although the release date is unknown, it will be a title available for Xbox and PC consoles.

On the other hand, Electronic Arts has shown the first images of the new installment of the Dragon Age saga, where it has shown the main characters that will make up the story. Specifically, it is Dragon Age: The Veil Guard -previously known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf- whose release is planned for autumn of this year on Xbox and PC consoles.

Likewise, another novelty has been the expansion of the space RPG video game, Stardfiled: Shattered Spacefrom Bethesda, which will feature a new story that players will be able to discover in fall 2024.

Following this line, the developer has also announced a new expansion for the saga Fall Out 76: Skyline Valley. This is the first map expansion for the RPG video game, so players will be able to discover new places in the world of Appalachia starting June 12, on Xbox and PC consoles.

Another of the new video games presented has been Expedition 33, from Sandfall Interactive, a new fantasy RPG video game inspired by Parisian art and architecture, using the ruins of the city of Paris as its setting. Thus, players will have to fight monsters and other creatures in this new story, which will arrive in 2025.

In addition, the Xbox event also featured the announcement Metar Gear Solid 3: Senake Eater, a ‘remake’ of the Konami title for PS2. This new title will arrive for both Xbox, PC and PlayStation 5, although the release date has not been shared.

Blizzard has also participated in the event with a new expansion of World of Warcraft: The War Within, which will arrive on August 26 of this year. Likewise, Xbox Game Studios has shown images of South of Midnight, a new ‘hack and slash’ story that will arrive in 2025, as well as the new title Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, which will be released on July 18 of this year for Xbox and PC consoles.

The Sea of ​​Theaves season 13, has also been announced at the event, with which users will be able to navigate and live new adventures starting July 25. Likewise, a new installment of the saga of Age of Mythology: Retolda video game of Greek, Egyptian and Norse gods that will arrive on September 4 of this year.

Xbox Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have presented the first images of Perfect Dark, a first-person spy and science fiction shooter. Likewise, a new delivery of fableone of the main Xbox sagas, which will arrive in 2025 for PC and Xbox.

Also from Xbox Game Studio, together with the developer Asobo Studio, it has been announced Flight Simulator 2024, a new title in the saga in which players will be able to control everything from fighter planes to hot air balloons, including helicopters and gliders. Likewise, they will be able to opt for November 19, day one in game pass.

Likewise, Square Enix and Deck Nine have presented the new video game in the series Life is Strange: Double Exposure, in which the protagonist will be able to open portals to parallel worlds. Specifically, it will arrive on October 29 of this year.

New images of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, in which the skills of its protagonists in feudal Japan have been seen. This new installment of the saga will arrive on November 15 of this year.

The adventures of Indiana Jones have also had a place at the event with the new Indiana Jones and the Great Circlewhich will arrive in 2024. Likewise, the action games Mecha Break and Wuchang Fallen Feathers have been announced, which will arrive in 2025.

Among other new features, the Xbox event included FlagPunk, a new ‘shooter’ type video game but with skills and scenarios that vary depending on the cards available to the player, winter burrow and Mixtape, by Annapurna Studios. All of them will arrive in 2025.

Finally, Gears of War: E-Day has closed the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 with a narrative trailer, in which it has been announced that it is a prequel to the saga.

THREE NEW CONSOLES

In addition to all this, within the framework of the annual Xbox event, the company’s president, Sarah Bond, has announced three new Xbox Series X and S consoles, that will be available to players this Christmas.

Specifically, it is a new console Xbox Series S with 1TB storage in white, with an “elegant and compact” design, which can be obtained for 349.99 euros. Following this line, the company will also launch a new Xbox Series X digital edition model with 1TB storage. This console will be available in white for 499.99 euros.

Finally, the American technology company has announced the launch of the new Xbox Series X console with 2 TB storage. It is a new ‘hardware’ of special editionwith double the storage capacity and a design that includes black and green colors, which will be available for 649.99 euros.
