Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II debuted last week and has already made franchise history by generating millions in profits in record time. Unfortunately, the launch was not without controversy and problems. What happens is that many players reported on social networks and forums that they received a ban for no apparent reason. A fan, fed up with the situation, took drastic measures that caused controversy.

Through a post on reddit, an upset player made it known that he received an unjustified ban on the Infinity Ward video game on October 28. After failing to recover the account from him, he bought the title back only to receive a second reprimand the day after.

Gamer Goes To Activision Office To Complain About Suspension In CoD: Modern Warfare II

After trying unsuccessfully to resolve the problem by phone, the fanatic decided to go to the Activision offices in Texas to demand a solution and express his discomfort. The story, which was shared in a reddit post, divided opinions in the community.

“Today (10/31) I decided to go to the nearby Activision office in Austin, Texas to try to speak with an employee due to the fact that it is impossible to speak to someone on the phone. I was greeted by a security guard in the parking lot and told me I couldn’t talk to anyone,” the player said.

The fan continues his story and explains that after convincing him to contact company staff, the security guard told him that it will take weeks to solve the problem of unjustified bans from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. “The fact that I can’t talk to someone at Activision Blizzard is very frustrating when I just want to enjoy this game that I spent $140 on,” he concluded.

This anecdote caused outrage on the internet. Jacob Garcia, associate producer for Aspyr Media, reacted to the story and lashed out at people who visit the offices to complain. “Those employees make like $15 USD and they still can’t pay the rent they share against 3 people. Please do not visit the developers in their offices. It doesn’t help and we fear for our safety,” he commented.

While there are those who claim that such behavior is dangerous and can cause company employees to panic, other users applauded the action of the player who visited the Activision office. Of course, the vast majority disagree.

“It’s a damn game. Go out and play another title. It’s never cool to show up in the studio like that. It’s already scary enough being on the internet as a developer. Having an angry fan show up at your workplace has to be pretty scary. Just refrain from doing it,” one user commented.
