1. Introduction:

The Center for Agro-Aquatic Nutritional Genomics, CGNA, is a Regional Center for Science and Technology in plants and food, which, from La Araucanía, contributes to economic and social development, to improve people’s quality of life.

Develop basic and strategic research to add value to vegetable raw materials, in order to generate products and processes with high economic potential for human and animal nutrition, and contribute to the development of the agri-food chain and each of its components.

Position: Scientist. Professional with a solid background in science, Biochemical, Biologist, Chemist, Biotechnologist or similar degree. Highly motivated by science, to discover, to create. Experience in science, with a domain in cellular and molecular biology such as: Test designs and analysis of transcriptomes, proteomes, gene function and expression, extraction of DNA, RNA, proteins, PCR, qPCR, cloning, among others. Desirable Ph.D. or Doctor of Science and/or M.Sc.

Ideally, the applicant should have scientific publications belonging to the first quartile (Q1) and have led research projects in the area in the last 5 years.

The position is to settle in Temuco, CGNA, forming part of a multidisciplinary team, associative with the local University, national and international institutions, to develop science and technology in the area of ​​environmental stresses in grain legumes, which involves omics technologies, plant physiology molecular and microbiota of the root.

4.2. Clarifications and queries:

4.3. Opening:

The resumes and other information of the candidates will be received at CGNA offices, Calle Las Heras Nº 350, Temuco, or by email to [email protected] until Friday, November 11, 2022 at 12:00 noon.

The contest will be valid until November 11, 2022, which is equivalent to 29 days from the date of its publication.

On November 11, 2022, the envelopes will be opened together with the applications received via mail.

An Act will be drawn up that accounts for all the Curriculum Vitae received and at the same time for those that comply with the administrative procedures established in these terms of reference, to continue in the process. A commission will be formed consisting of:

This Commission will proceed to deliver the resumes to a pre-selection and final selection commission of the CGNA.

7.1. Preselection and Selection Commission.

The curricular records received by electronic means and other means will be evaluated and analyzed by this commission.

The Commission will evaluate the candidates and may request clarifications that allow a better understanding of the information presented.

This commission will issue a Minutes, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the shortlisted candidates, and will add a paragraph of final recommendations where their priorities, preferences and recommendations are stated. They will be ranked for interview in that order. Interviewing at least the first three candidates.

For the interview, this commission will be made up of:

7.1.1. Call and place of the interviews:

The commission will proceed to call the shortlisted candidates for interviews via zoom conference or similar, which will be reported to the shortlisted candidates.

After the interview, those shortlisted will undergo a psycho-labor evaluation, which will be an integral part of the final evaluation. This psycho-labor interview will seek that the professional meets the profile for a position in competition.

The professional to be hired will be the one ranked first in the final interview stage and who meets the requirements of the psycho-labor profile.

Maximum Term: November 21, 2022.

7.1.2. Communication Results.

The candidates formally selected will be informed by letter and via e-mail of the final decision to proceed with the hiring. Once the contest is closed, it will be informed on the CGNA website.

7.2. Withdrawal.

In the event that the chosen candidate withdraws from his application, the second best evaluated candidate will be called.

The CGNA is the Institution that will formalize the work contracts according to the legal nature that empowers it for these purposes, contemplating the approved budgets to execute these contracts.

The favored candidate will have a period of 10 business days to sign the contract, counted from the date of the communication of the result of his application.

If the favored candidate does not sign the contract within the indicated period, his candidacy will be understood as withdrawn, and the second best evaluated will be called.

Position: Researcher

Profession:

Professionals with a solid background in science, with a Ph.D. degree, Doctor of Science and/or M.Sc., in the area of ​​plant science, with proven experience in science in the last 5 years.

Purposes of the Position

  • The position is required to carry out science and technology at the Center for Agroaquacultural Nutritional Genomics,
  • CGNA, in the area of ​​science in Integrating a multidisciplinary, associative group that studies how grain Legumes signal and respond to environmental stresses.
  • For this, three broad specific objectives are structured, which cover: Genomics, molecular physiology and root microbiota.
  • The professional will be part of this multidisciplinary team and will interact more specifically in the line of research: Genomics, transcriptomics and gene function. In this line, various specific objectives are structured that lead to structuring science and technology activities, scientific publications, projects, training of human resources, among others.
