ByteDancethe parent company of TikTok, plans to launch a new music streaming service similar to other platforms such as Apple Music either spotify, as Business Insider has advanced.
The company introduced the TikTok Music brand in Australia in November and subsequently in May. issued a registration request in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
In this request, ByteDance would have detailed that this platform would serve to “buy, play, share and download musicsongs, albums and lyrics”, as published this medium.
Also, in this record, the Chinese company would have indicated that other possible use cases for TikTok Music would be “live audio and video transmission”, as well as “edit and upload photos as cover of playlists” and “comment music, songs and albums”.
This would indicate that its new bet would have characteristics very similar to those of other streaming music services, such as Spotify or Apple Music.
From Business Insider they remember that the ByteDance idea already has another streaming music application called Reso, currently available in India, Brazil and Indonesia, which launched in 2020 and already has millions of subscribers.
