The manager explained that this scenario will happen thanks to the development of artificial intelligence and the 5.5G network that allows better hyperconnectivity. Coexistence between machines and humans will be more plausible in nations with full development of the fifth generation, such as South Korea. Until now, it is projected that for every 10,000 workers there are 15 robots, but within five years this number will increase significantly.
Industries increasingly seek to migrate to the automation of processes to obtain operational and financial efficiencies, placing robots as a key element for this objective.
“Finally, interactive robots are going to families and will be able to identify and understand their needs and deal with humans. By 2030 there will be a market of 10 million robots with artificial intelligence,” said Yang Chaobin during his participation in the Mobile Broadband Forum (MBBF 2024).
Autonomous robots will have a relevant role in everyday life and in business industries (B2B) and for end users (B2C). The manager explained that the use of robots is seen in roles as auxiliaries in industries dedicated to manufacturing, laboratories, quality control, packaging, even as household assistants and as a company for humans, among other uses. The 5.5 G will give greater autonomy to this type of machines, triggering greater functionalities and improvement of activities.
Within the Global Mobile Broadband Forum, robots came onto the scene, seeing them perform actions such as delivering pins or walking from one place to another. Statista projects that global service robot market revenue will increase 65% over the next four years and reach $55 billion.
The interaction of people with machines has increased due to the development of Artificial Intelligence, which allows responses to be obtained in real time as if it were a communication with another individual.
“Digital assistants provide services for now, but this is creating a closer interaction that will end up being very natural,” Chaobin said.
