Buslab, units with greater comfort and technology
The new Buslab units, which will be operating as a laboratory from July 22, have a capacity for 33 seated people, up to 47 standing people and 1 person in a wheelchair. Users with physical disabilities also have the great advantage of being able to easily board and exit the vehicle, as it has a system to lower its level and move a ramp.
As for comfort, the units are air-conditioned and have a design that reflects great spaciousness thanks to their glass windows. In addition, the transparent plastic seats are very cool, which is a plus in a city where temperatures can reach over 30 degrees Celsius.
To help improve people’s quality of life – which is one of the objectives of MOBILITY ADO – Buslab has included some technologies in the new units to increase passenger comfort during the trip.
One innovation is a lost and found system in which if a passenger forgets something, such as a wallet, purse, etc., during their journey, they can report it on a platform using a QR code. The driver of the unit where the item was lost is notified, and when it is recovered, it is recorded to be returned to the user.
Furthermore, tablets have been integrated into electric vehicles, which include a brief survey so that users can express their perception of the service.
“One of the applications is a tablet where you can evaluate the quality of the service on board and give your opinion on what is most important to you during your trip. I present the options, you click on it and the application sends us a data mining that we share with the Transport Agency, and we provide feedback to make all the improvements,” said Eduardo Córdova.
