The Government took a historic step this Tuesday by officially recognizing the State of Palestine. The president, Pedro Sánchez, made the announcement in an institutional declaration, followed by the approval of the recognition in the Council of Ministers. The decision sparked a wave of political criticism from opposition parties. The PP chooses not to bother the Jewish elites and the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, decided yesterday to travel to Israel to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The reactions of the PP and Vox will continue this Wednesday, along with those of the rest of the political formations, during the control session in the Congress of Deputies. At the same time, the campaign for the European elections on June 9 continues, with various events by the main parties in different locations.
