The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, confirmed last night that he will vote yes to the agreement with the PSC for the investiture of Salvador Illa in Catalonia. “Because it represents an unprecedented leap forward towards fiscal sovereignty, guarantees the commitment to the Catalan language, deepens the resolution of the political conflict and maintains transformative republican policies,” announced the ERC leader.

Other ministers have also announced that they will vote in favour of the agreement reached with the socialists. The acting vice-president of the Government, Laura Vilagrà, has called for a positive vote and participation. “I will vote yes, among other things, to be able to have the key to the box, for the fiscal sovereignty of our country,” she said in a message on her X account.

Roger Torrent, the Catalan regional minister for business and employment, also announced his vote on social media, and asked the left-wing militants to support the pact: “It is a good agreement for Catalonia. It requires our strength but makes us move forward as a country. And whatever the result, we will continue to row until we achieve independence.”
