At least six Bolivian companies will participate in the 48th version of the world-class International Food and Beverage Exhibition, Foodex, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from March 7 to 10.

The stand of the Latin American country will participate through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the National Chamber of Exporters of Bolivia, showing the production of wine, singani, chestnut, coffee, quinoa, sesame, chia, beans, dry beans, peanuts and hearts of palm. .

The Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Integration of Bolivia, Benjamín Blanco, reported that the Bolivian Embassy in Japan arranged, in addition to participation in the Exhibition, meetings between Bolivian businessmen with their Japanese counterparts, with the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce , the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), to exchange information and define business alliances.

“Managing Bolivia’s participation in these international and global fairs means generating opportunities to open new markets for Bolivian companies and, of course, for the export of national production,” explained Blanco.

Foodex has been held since 1976. This 2023 will celebrate its 48th edition; In the four days of the exhibition, the attendance of some 85,000 buyers from food service, distribution and marketing companies is expected.

Foodex is the largest exhibition in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region where thousands of exhibitors and visitors from all over the world converge.
