The Italian president, Sergio Mattarella, has gone to the Ciampino airport to accompany the family and receive Parini’s body, which will undergo an autopsy on Wednesday to confirm that he died from the impact of the vehicle and rule out any possible weapon injury. of fire, reports the RAI chain.

Before takeoff, a symbolic farewell ceremony was also held at the Ben Gurion airport in which authorities representing both Italy and Israel participated.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyanhu, wanted to call his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, to personally convey his condolences to her for this attack. “I have thanked you for the help offered and the solidarity expressed by many citizens of Israel,” Meloni wrote on Twitter.
