The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, has congratulated the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Naser Burita, for the “commitment” of the Alaouite kingdom “to promote peace and security in the region”, within which Washington includes to the Middle East.
The two ministers spoke by phone on Tuesday, as confirmed by both parties, and Blinken informed his counterpart of the results of his meetings with Egyptian, Israeli and Palestinian authorities in recent days, in which the head of US diplomacy ” advocated de-escalation and ending the cycle of violence”.
In addition, Blinken and Burita have also spoken of “shared priorities” in both bilateral relations and in terms of “regional stability.” Washington has highlighted the presence of Rabat in what is known as the Negev Forum, in which Israel and four Arab countries also participate.
