The spokesperson for EH Bildu in Congress, Mertxe Aizpurúa, has confirmed that her party has been negotiating the 2025 Budgets with the Ministry of Finance for a month and a half and is confident that these will be approved by January or February.
Specifically, Aizpurúa explained that the budget negotiations that collapsed in May due to the Executive’s refusal to present a Budget project in 2024 in view of the electoral scenario in Catalonia have basically been resumed.
Thus, the ‘abertzale’ spokesperson has pointed out that her group is already in “Budget mode” and trusts that the deficit path, which the Government withdrew from parliamentary processing due to the lack of support, will be approved first, and then the General Budgets of the State (PGE), because it considers it “good for all citizens.”
“We hope that there is an agreement on the issue of the deficit path, that this time that the Government has been giving to reach agreements with the rest of the groups is favorable and that this makes it possible to have good Budgets,” he added in statements to Parliament, from RNE, collected by Europa Press.

However, the deputy has said that although she prefers to be “optimistic” and believes that an agreement can be reached for public accounts, “she does not take for granted” that Podemos will support the Budgets, taking into account that the ‘purple’ formation It has consulted its bases if it conditions support for the Budgets on rents being lowered by 40% by law.
A request that Aizpurúa sees as “quite difficult to carry out as proposed.” “I don’t know if it has details or fine print, but that statement is certainly quite difficult,” he commented.

I WAS EXPECTING “A LITTLE MORE” FROM THE MINISTER OF HOUSING
The deputy has also been asked her opinion of the appearance of the Minister of Housing, Isabel Rodríguez, last Wednesday, and Aizpurúa has said that she could have waited “a little longer”, because the measures she proposed from the platform, such as preventing forever that social housing is disqualified, were not “very surprising.”
