The United States confirmed on Monday that President Joe Biden will welcome the new British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, to the White House, taking advantage of his visit to Washington to attend the NATO summit to be held from July 9 to 11.
“President Biden looks forward to this first meeting with Prime Minister Starmer and will underscore the importance of strengthening the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom,” the White House said in a statement.
They will address issues such as Ukraine, an open Indo-Pacific, a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages in Gaza, “guaranteeing that Iran never has nuclear weapons” or strengthening the coalition against the Yemeni Houthis.
At the bilateral level, they will discuss advanced technologies and the development of climate solutions and clean energy.
