July 10 () –
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has arrived in the United Kingdom this Sunday to meet with the Prime Minister of the country, Rishi Sunak, and with King Carlos III, as part of his European tour, which includes the summit of the NATO in Vilnius (Lithuania) and a visit to Finland.
While his meeting with Sunak will be open to the press, the meeting with the British monarch will take place behind closed doors. Later, Carlos III and Biden will attend a climate meeting with “philanthropists and investors,” according to a White House statement.
After that, the US president will go to the Lithuanian capital to attend the NATO Summit on July 11 and 12, with the war in Ukraine and Sweden’s accession process as main topics.
After the summit, Biden will travel to Helsinki on July 13 to participate in a meeting with heads of state and government of the Nordic countries to be held in the Finnish capital, although the White House has not reported further details for the moment.
