Berlusconi is again hospitalized for pneumonia three weeks after being discharged

The former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been admitted this Friday to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, three weeks after being discharged for a pneumonia aggravated by chronic leukemia who has suffered for a long time, local media reported.

Berlusconi, from 86 years, had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on April 5 due to pneumonia aggravated by leukemia that, according to his medical team, he had suffered for a long time. After twelve days, he was transferred to the plant and finally was discharged on May 19after having been hospitalized for 44 days.

Chronic myeloid leukemia is a form of blood cancer that can appear especially in people over 60 years of age and the doctors then specified that he was undergoing “specialized cytoreductive treatment” already chemotherapy.
