Despite the fact that Holy Week is not considered an official holiday, schools and some labor institutions offer their workers days off, such is the case of banks.

Do the banks work on Holy Thursday and Good Friday?

According to the 2023 calendar of the Association of Banks of Mexico, work is suspended on April 6 and 7, that is, Holy Thursday and Friday, days that companies commonly grant to workers. The cessation of activities does not include ATMs.

What other days are the banks closed?

For the remainder of the year, banks will remain closed the following days in accordance with the provisions of the National Banking and Securities Commission.

  • May 1st.
  • On September 16.
  • On November 2 and the third Monday in November in commemoration of November 20.
  • December 12 and 25.
  • Saturdays and Sundays.
