A report recently came to light that reported an alleged hack that would have affected Bandai Namco and today the company confirmed that it had really happened. All this is relevant because coincidentally an image began to circulate these days with the company’s supposed upcoming projects and it made us think that it could be true if we consider that the hack was carried out, but is the leak true?

In the image, which was instantly removed from Twitter but recovered by netizens, multiple projects are shown that Bandai Namco was supposedly preparing for fiscal year 2023 and whose plans it would reveal at an upcoming meeting.

On the slide were several big names from titles not yet announced, such as a new installment of dragon ball fighter z, LITTLE NIGHTMARES III, Code Vein 2, Dragon Ball Xeoverse 3, TEKKEN 8 and even a supposed DLC of ELDEN RING called Barbarians of the Badlands.

The Bandai Namco hack was real, but its alleged leak was not

Internet users did not take long to pass the image through the critical sieve and found some irregularities that seem to confirm that it is something false. The most obvious is the huge number of great games that Bandai Namco has not yet confirmed and that would debut in less than 1 year.

Other irregularities that fans identified is that it has already been confirmed that the next game of Digimon is from the subseries Story and no CyberSleuth (via dualshockers). the logo of TEKKEN 8 was taken from a fan work and the image of Tales of is a stylized modified image of a uterus.

In case you missed it: Bandai Namco gave a great object to one of the fans of ELDEN RING more memorable.

That said, while there are some convincing-looking titles, it appears that everything in the image is fake. So we recommend you not to trust too much what you see in this alleged leak. However, that is not to say that there are no plans for some games, such as the DLC for ELDEN RINGwell let’s remember that it is a tradition that FromSoftware launches post-launch content for its titles souls.

So far Bandai Namco does not report what data was compromised after the hack it suffered days ago. We will keep you informed.
