Ayuso torpedoes Feijóo’s strategy in Catalonia

The arrival of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in Madrid to lead the state PP meant a substantial change in the strategy for Catalonia over the one implemented by Pablo Casado and even Mariano Rajoy. The management of the process and what came after had caused an apparently paradoxical, but real, double effect: the flight of votes from both moderate and radical sectors. The 2017 and 2021 election results, when it ended up as the party with the least representation in Parliament, they attest to this. Since April 2022, Feijóo has drawn up a plan to relaunch the brand and continuously attends events of his own and those outside the community. A strategy that Isabel Díaz Ayuso torpedoed, also on her recent visit to Barcelona.
