The leader of the Avanza party and candidate for the head of the Government of Thailand, Pita Limjaroenrat, announced on Thursday the formation of a coalition government made up of seven other parties.
Among the eight formations, they have added 313 seats out of a total of 500 in the House of Representatives. These parties, in addition to Avanza, are Phey Thai -the second most voted formation and representative of the Shinawatra dynasty-, Thai Sang Thai, Thai Liberal, Prachachart, Fair, Plung Sungkom Mai and Pey Thai Ruamphalang, according to what the newspaper reported. ‘The Nation’.
In the announcement made by the leader of the Avanza party, he has stated that all parties must sign a Memorandum of Understanding, the details of which will be released this Monday. Likewise, he has indicated that he will form a committee to carry out the tasks of the previous government.
Limjaroenrat affirmed one day after the elections, held last Sunday, that he was ready to be the next prime minister of the country, after his formation obtained a surprising victory in elections marked by the rejection of the military government in favor of pro-democratic candidates.
