An attack with a cylinder bomb was reported at level 1190 of the Buriticá mine of the mining company Zijin Continental Goldin the west of the department of antioch.
Preliminary information ensures that a group of company workers and various members of the Public force They were working against illegality at the time of receiving the attack.
“We received information that a cylinder loaded with explosives exploded in Continental tunnels in Higabra, leaving two people dead, whose identities we are about to establish, and approximately 14 people injured.“, recounted Luis Fernando Cano Cardona, Secretary of Government of Buriticá.
One of the people who lost their lives worked for the security company Atempi, while the other was a contractor for the mining company. The injured people were rushed to the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Santa Fe de Antioquia.
It is expected that by May 18 there will be a security council in which the Secretariat of Government, Security and Justice, the government of Antioquia, Salvamento Minero and the Ombudsman’s Office.
