At NASA they wear Prada: they reveal the design of the suit for astronauts who will go to the Moon

The aerospace company Axiom Space and the luxury fashion house Prada revealed the designs of the new space suit that will be used by the team of astronauts that will undertake the mission NASA’s lunar Artemis III.

The suits “more comfortable” and “aesthetic” They were revealed at the International Astronautical Congress in the Italian city of Milan.

“Prada’s expertise has enabled advanced technologies and innovative sewing methods to bridge the gap between high engineering and an aesthetically appealing white exterior, offering astronauts greater comfort while improving material performance.”according to a statement from Axiom Space.

For his part, the director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Prada, Lorenzo Bertelli, assured that this project has meant for the brand “go beyond your own limits”.

The suits of the astronauts of the Artemis III mission, scheduled for September 2026, will be white with red details – one of the brand’s colors – and will use innovative fabrics that will improve their flexibility, mobility and safety.
