At least two Palestinians killed and 8 wounded in an Israeli army raid in Jenin, West Bank

Jan. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least two young Palestinians have died and eight others have been wounded at dawn this Monday in a raid by the Israeli Army in the village of Kafr Dan, northwest of Jenin, in the West Bank.

The two fatalities are Mohamed Samer Hoshiyeh, 21, and Fouad Mahmoud Ahmed Abed, 17. The first of them would have died from gunshot wounds to the chest, while the second from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and thigh, as reported by the Ibn Sina Hospital, as reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

According to said agency, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) broke into the village of Kafr Dan and surrounded the homes of the families of the fatalities.

For its part, the preliminary report of the IDF has indicated that its agents were “working in Kfar Dan” in order to “demolish the houses of the terrorists in the incident of the meeting near the Jalma crossing, in which the deceased major fell Bar Pelah, on Wednesday, September 14”, according to his profile on the social network Twitter.

That day there was a confrontation in the outskirts of the city of Jenin, which caused the death of an Israeli soldier and two Palestinians, when the IDF located two suspects through security cameras.

The suspects “opened fire on the soldiers”, prompting the military to “take cover and fire on the suspects, neutralizing them”. The dead soldier was identified as Bar Pelah, deputy commander of the elite Nahal reconnaissance unit.

For their part, the Palestinians who died in the incident were identified as Ahmed Abed — who would be a member of the Palestinian security forces — and Abdulrahman Abed.
