June 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least two people died this Saturday in southern Lebanon due to an Israeli attack on a vehicle owned by an alleged militiaman, of whom it is not yet known if he was traveling in the car that was hit.
The vehicle was traveling through the municipality of Becá Occidental when, according to security sources to the newspaper ‘L’Orient le Jour’, it was hit by a projectile.
The fighting between Israel and the militias of the Shiite Hezbollah party, which began as soon as the Gaza war broke out on October 7, has intensified this week to the point that both the United Nations and the European Union have asked both sides to exercise extreme caution to avoid what would be an absolute catastrophe for the region.
