The Lebanese health authorities have reported this Thursday that at least 22 people have died, victims of new attacks carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the outskirts of Baalbek, located in the east of the country, as part of their offensive. against the Shiite militia party Hezbollah.

As highlighted by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health on its social networks, the majority of the victims were located in the town of Nabha, where at least eight people have died. On the other hand, Israel has confirmed attacks on the capital, Beirut, although at the moment no victims have been confirmed.

The resurgence in hostilities is part of the clashes that began more than a year ago, after Hezbollah attacked Israeli territory a day after the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, which led Israel to unleash a bloody offensive against the Gaza Strip, where 44,000 people have already died.
