The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office has reported this Wednesday that a Russian missile attack has left three dead, including a minor, in Zelenivka, in the Kherson region, a bombing that has been condemned by the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky.

“On May 17 around 4:00 p.m. (local time) the invaders fired at a village in the Kherson district. One of the cartridges hit near a store,” he said in a statement posted on his official Facebook profile.

Likewise, two other people have been injured, including a minor. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an investigation to determine whether the attack represents a “violation of the laws on warfare.”

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky condemned the attack on Wednesday in an evening speech in which he demanded more weapons from allied countries to stop the increase in attacks by Russia.

“The Russian bombardment in our Kherson region claimed the life of another child. His name was Vsevolod. He would have turned six in July. My condolences to family and friends!”, he sentenced, adding that there have been more attacks in regions such as Sumy, Chernigov, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast or Zaporizhia.
