July 17 () –

At least three civilians have been killed and twelve others injured in a shelling carried out by Russian forces in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.

The head of the Ukrainian regional military administration of Donetsk, Pavlo Kirilenko, has indicated this Sunday in his Telegram account that the attack has taken place as a result of Russia’s aggression against the territory and has confirmed the number of victims.

“The Russians have killed three civilians in Donetsk: two in Udachni and one in Pokrovsk. Twelve others have been injured,” he said.

Since the Russian invasion of the territory began, 623 civilians have been killed in the region and more than 1,500 have been injured. However, the Ukrainian authorities have warned that at the moment the number of civilian victims in areas such as Mariúpol and Volnovas cannot be estimated.
