At least ten people have been injured on Wednesday night by a gas explosion in central Istanbul.
The explosion has sparked a fire that has spread to the apartments on the first floor of the building. However, firefighters have quickly brought the flames under control.
According to the balances of the emergency services, at least a dozen people who were in the building and who were passing through the street have been injured. The injured have been transferred to nearby hospitals.
Police and medical teams are still at the scene of the incident. The authorities have explained that works were being carried out on the gas infrastructure in the neighborhood, reports the Turkish news agency Anadolu.
