At least a dozen people have died in a possible suicide attack in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu, which would have preceded an attack carried out by a group of armed men against the headquarters of the Ministry of Education in the city.
The provisional balance of deaths has been confirmed by police sources to the DPA agency and the official Somali news agency SONNA, while sources from the newspaper ‘Somali Times’ have confirmed the entry into the Ministry of a group of armed men who have begun to open fire.
Among the deceased, the Voice of America sources report, would be a journalist and a police officer.
The ‘Somali Times’ sources have reported at least “two large explosions” just “minutes apart” that have preceded the attack on the Ministry headquarters, on Sobe Road, a busy area with shopping areas around it .
