At least six people have been killed and 15 injured after an explosion occurred on a bus at a gas station in the Sir Darya region of eastern Uzbekistan.
The Uzbekistan Ministry of Emergencies reported this Thursday that the gas tank of a bus exploded around 2:30 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. Spanish peninsular time) when it was full of methane, after refueling the vehicle.
According to preliminary information, 6 people died at the scene and 15 people were injured as a result of the incident, the ministry has made known on its Facebook account.
Likewise, the portfolio has indicated in its statement that the authorities are conducting an investigation into the causes of the incident.
