The Israeli Army confirmed the bombing, in which two senior Hamas officials responsible for the West Bank were killed, and acknowledged that “as a result of the attack and a fire that broke out in the area, several people other than those involved were injured” and He stated that he is “reviewing” the incident. Afterwards, the chief prosecutor of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) described the event as “very serious” and stressed that an investigation is underway.

Israel began an offensive against the Gaza Strip following Hamas attacks, which left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages. Since then, Gazan authorities have reported the deaths of more than 36,000 Palestinians, including more than 510 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a result of the actions of security forces and attacks by Israeli settlers.
