June 27 () –

The governor of Zaporizhia, Yuri Malashko, reported on Tuesday the death of one person, as well as six other seriously injured, after a last Russian attack launched on the region, specifically in the city of Orekhov.

The deceased is a 77-year-old man, Malashko specified, while the injured range in age from 45 to 87, most of them women. “The enemy will answer for each of his crimes and take Ukrainian lives!” The governor said to close the report, published on Telegram.

Zaporizhia is home to the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, so there are fears that a miscalculation by the Russians and Ukrainians could lead to an unparalleled catastrophe. Since the start of the invasion, Moscow and kyiv have been accusing each other of endangering the stability of the facilities.

Last week, after its latest review, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned that the situation at the plant was “serious”, although “stable” after the consequences brought about by the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovka nuclear power plant in the Kherson region.
