MADRID 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least one Palestinian civilian has died and a number yet to be determined have been injured during the night of Saturday to Sunday as a result of a new airstrike by the Israeli Army on a school located west of Gaza City.
The bombed building was the Sala al Din school, located near the Palestine Stadium, according to local sources reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The same agency has also reported that the city of Rafá, in the south of the Strip, has been the target of several air attacks during the night. Likewise, Israeli forces have entered the refugee camps of Bureji and Nuseirat, in the center of the Palestinian enclave, shooting and launching light bombs, with no casualties reported so far.
To date, at least 42,924 people have died in the Gaza Strip, victims of the military offensive launched by Israel more than a year ago, in response to the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7, which resulted in about 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped.
The Gaza Ministry of Health, linked to Hamas, has also raised the number of injured to 100,833, after confirming another 289 since Thursday, although the authorities suspect that the number of victims is higher because there may be people under the rubble or in inaccessible areas. .
On the Gaza front there are more than 600 deaths in the West Bank and some 2,500 deaths in Lebanon, where Israeli forces have intensified their attacks in recent weeks with practically constant bombings, also on the capital, Beirut.
