September 12 () –

Pro-Russian authorities in the eastern Ukrainian province of Kherson have reported that at least one person has been killed and eight others wounded in an attack blamed on Ukrainian forces on a market in the Ukrainian town of Nova Kakhovka.

“Ukrainian Nazis have carried out a massive and barbaric attack on Nova Kakhovka. The central market has been hit – eleven hits have been recorded. One civilian has been killed and eight others, six women and two men, have been injured,” said the pro-Russian governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, in a message posted on Telegram.

Saldo said that six of the victims were in a “moderate” condition and had been hospitalised at the Kakhovka Central District Hospital. Two more seriously injured people were taken to the Genichesk Central District Hospital, where doctors were doing “everything possible to save their lives”.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian military personnel have fired 38 rounds of artillery at populated areas in western Kherson, damaging numerous homes.
