At least nine injured in shooting in Denver

Shooting in a parking lot at the Brooklyn Center in Minnesota leaves six injured

() — The Denver Police Department is investigating a shooting that left at least nine injured.

Police haven’t provided many details about the shooting, only calling it a “complex investigation,” according to a department tweet.

Preliminary information indicates that multiple shots were fired during an altercation in the 2000 block of Market St. Multiple people were involved in the shooting, according to police.

Nine people were shot. Three people are in critical condition, and the remaining victims are said to have non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the police, the suspect in the incident was also shot.

The motive for the shooting has not been released.

It is also unclear if this incident is in any way related to the Denver Nuggets’ NBA championship celebrations in downtown Denver.
