At least four dead and a dozen injured in Turkish attacks on PKK positions in Syria

The Turkish authorities reported this Friday the death of four people as a result of military operations carried out in northern Syria against dozens of positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northeastern Syria.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense, which has indicated that these actions are part of the operations launched as a result of the attack that took place on Wednesday against the Turkish aerospace company, in charge of manufacturing drones, has pointed out that another ten people have were injured in attacks that have hit four Syrian cities.

Likewise, he explained that a total of 32 PKK positions have been destroyed in attacks against Syria and Iraq in recent days, as reported by the Kurdish news portal Shafaq.

This same Friday, the Popular Defense Forces, the armed wing of the PKK, have claimed responsibility for the attack perpetrated against the main facilities of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) company in the capital, Ankara, which left at least five dead and 22 injured. .

The Turkish Army usually carries out military operations against the PKK in Iraq – where the group has numerous bases – and in Syria since the ceasefire between the Government and the armed group was broken in July 2015.
