At least five people have been killed in fresh Russian attacks on several towns in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, according to provincial authorities, who have confirmed nearly twenty bombings in the past 24 hours.
Governor Vadim Filashkin reported on his Telegram account that three people have died in Kostyantynivka and two others have died in Toretsk. The number of injured is around ten, according to the report, which also includes damage to residential buildings.
The Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine is one of the main fronts in the conflict and the Russian Ministry of Defence reported new advances on Sunday. According to Moscow, Russian troops have already taken control of Novogrodivka, some 30 kilometres from the provincial capital.
