At least eight Palestinian civilians have been injured at dawn this Monday in a raid by the Israeli Army in Jenin, the West Bank, in which the Israeli authorities have also arrested two people.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have stormed the city from several points, placing snipers on the roofs of several buildings, after which clashes broke out.
The Israeli soldiers fired live bullets, so among the wounded, there is one of them who is in serious condition, according to the Wafa news agency.
Israeli security forces sent more reinforcements to the city of Jenin and raided several houses, searching them. In addition, according to the aforementioned agency, the soldiers prevented the ambulances from taking the wounded to hospitals.
Tensions in the region have increased in recent months, so the Israeli army frequently carries out night raids. Since the start of the year, more than 150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers or settlers, according to authorities.
