At least eight people have died and another three have been injured this Sunday in a shooting that occurred during the celebration of a birthday party in the city of Gqeberha, province of Eastern Cape, South Africa.
The authorities have initially reported the death of seven people, after two armed men entered a home at night, where they began shooting at those attending the celebration.
However, one of the victims has succumbed to his injuries after being taken to hospital. In addition, the owner of the house is among the deceased.
The provincial police spokesman, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, has reported that a pursuit of the suspects has begun, as well as an investigation into the circumstances of the attack.
