At least nine people have been killed and 38 injured after a tour bus carrying students collided with another bus in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
This was announced by the Minister of Local Governments of Kerala, MB Rajesh, detailing that the tourist bus collided from behind the bus of the Kerala Public Transport Company (KSRTC), as reported by the ANI agency.
Among the deceased are five students, a teacher and three KSRTC bus passengers. Likewise, a total of 38 people have been admitted to the hospital, of which five have suffered serious injuries, although they are out of danger.
The tourist bus carrying students and teachers from the school was heading to the city of Ooty from Ernakulam, while the KSRTC bus was heading to Coimbatore, all in the state of Kerala, the aforementioned agency has collected.
