Oct. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health has recorded this Tuesday the death of at least 55 people during the bombing campaign of the Israeli Army carried out during this day against the entire country, registering 156 injured, within the framework of the Israeli bombings that, they say, target the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah.
The most affected area has been the governorate of Nabatié (southeast), with 22 dead and 47 injured, while the province of Baalbek-Hermel has registered eleven deaths and 19 injured in the last 24 hours. In addition, there have been three deaths and 33 injuries in the governorate of Mount Lebanon, three deaths and 31 injuries in the Al Jnah area, and four injuries in the province of Beká, as reported by the Lebanese ministerial portfolio through its profile on social network
For its part, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have indicated that they have attacked “Hezbollah terrorist infrastructures in southern Lebanon.” Likewise, they have announced the interception of a target launched from Lebanon, while they have asked the population to stay close to an area to protect themselves. However, they have identified “several missiles that crossed the territory and fell in an open space in the center of the country.”
Hezbollah has been bombing northern Israel for almost a year in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, causing deaths and the evacuation of thousands of people. Israel has responded to these attacks and has intensified its operations against the group, which have resulted in the death of more than a thousand people in just over a week, including Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah. Since then, tens of thousands of Lebanese and Syrians have fled the country, most crossing the border into Syria.
