At least 17 people have died on New Year’s Day as a result of several attacks by the Israeli Defense Forces in the Bureij refugee camp, located in the center of the Gaza Strip, and in Jabalia, in the north of the enclave. Palestinian.

The Israeli Armed Forces launched the offensive in retaliation for the attacks, which left some 1,200 dead and 250 kidnapped on Israeli soil and opened a new stage of tensions in the Middle East.
